The Hope Food Pantry Austin volunteers work hard every week to deliver food, from many resources, to one location so that our neighbors in need can visit us and choose select groceries to fill their own pantries.  A lot of planning, fundraising, and organizing are all part of the mix just to fill clients’ baskets with much needed food supplies.  Please consider joining our team to help fill our pantry with food so that our neighbors can fill theirs.  The following are ways to become a partner:

Become a Primary Partner (Businesses, Groups, Churches)
Surrounding churches and business entities interested in becoming a principal partner are invited to send an individual to join the Advisory Board and bring their unique skills to the overall operation of the pantry.  Advisory Board individuals reach out to their unique communities organizing food drives and help with overall friend and fund raising.  The Advisory Board meets every third Thursday of the month except in June, July, and August.

Primary partners get primary access to the calendar on volunteer time slots as well as social media post of your service event–with boosting to extend reach, and logo on website.

Become an Essential Partner (Businesses, Groups, Churches)
Community Partners provide similar help but do not have an individual sitting on the Advisory Board.  They can schedule a time (one month out preferred) to have a crew of 10-15 volunteers come in to help distribute food on a Thursday, Friday, and/or first Saturday of the month.  See the options below:

    • First Saturday of the month distribution days are open to groups willing to organize a food drive and bring in to sort and stock on their scheduled morning.  These time slots fill up very quickly.
    • Thursday and Friday mornings are open to groups who are able to give a monetary donation and organize a food drive for the day of volunteering.  These time slots are scheduled with Stephanie.

Essential partners receive up to one or all of the following based on donation: Early access to calendar for volunteer and coordination of distribution and/or service activities, social media post of the service event–with boosting to extend reach and logo/link on website.

Become a “Food Rescue” Partner
Join Natural Grocers at Vitamin Cottage, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Pepperidge Farm, and Snap Kitchen and offer your “extra” food you won’t be selling to a good cause!

Food Rescue partners receive . . .

There are other ways to help out such as provide support to our annual fundraiser or supply a food or fund drive to the cause.  Just mention these other ways to Stephanie when reaching out.
