Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Hope. We distribute groceries to families every Thursday, Friday, and first Saturday of the month. Saturday distribution is reserved for our Advisory Board partners. Individual and Group Information below:
Individual volunteer opportunities are as follows.
- Monday – Friday: Food Pick-up from our food source partners. Requirement– Ease with lifting up to 50 pounds. Times Vary.
- Tuesday 9 AM: Food Bank Delivery. Requirements–Ease with lifting up to 50 pounds. 1-2 hours.
- Tuesday 1:30 – 4:00 PM: Sort and Stock. Requirements–Ease with lifting up to 25 pounds, sorting and stocking dry goods and produce.
- Thursday/Friday Distribution 8:30 – 11:30 AM: Requirements–Comfortable interacting with families seeking assistance; some lifting; prepping and distributing groceries; spanish helpful but not required.
- Thursday/Friday Intaking 8:30 – 11:30 AM: Requirements–familiarity with computers and databases; comfortable with checking in families; spanish helpful but not required.
If you are available to help out with any of the above times, please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form. A volunteer sign-up sheet will be sent to you. Please read the following Volunteer Orientation Sheet to become familiar with our procedures and volunteer guidelines.

Group volunteer options:
- A group of 2-3 people can help fill our available spots listed above. Please email Betsy at Coordinator@HopeFoodPantryAustin.org to schedule a day of service.
- For a group of 10-14 volunteers, we kindly request a monetary donation or food drive equivalent of $1000 or more. We will open a scheduled distribution day for your group to help out.
- Organize a food drive and schedule a time to sort and stock the collection with your group. Significant food drives allow for significant volunteer service.
